Cambridge Who's Who Names Karen R. Wade Professional of the Year in Human Resource Management
Karen Wade rose through the ranks after honing her skills in banking, operations, retail and human resources

LEXINGTON, KY, September 01, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Karen R. Wade, Senior Vice President of FCB Services, Inc., has been named a Cambridge Who's Who Professional of the Year in Human Resource Management. While inclusion in the Cambridge Who's Who Registry is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Cambridge Who's Who membership.

With 30 years of professional experience, Ms. Wade has honed her talents in the banking, operations, retail and HR fields. Most notably, she has proven herself in sundry aspects of human resource management, including developing policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls, preparing evaluations, counseling, and conducting annual security training. She marks her 12th year with FCB Services, a subsidiary of Farmers Capital Bank Corporation. In her current capacity as senior vice president, Ms. Wade is in charge of performing all HR functions such as hiring, orientation and affirmative action, consulting with subsidiary branches to confirm that services are in place, conducting training, and creating and implementing policies and procedures. In addition, she serves as the secretary of the company's board of directors. Having started her career as a bank clerk, Ms. Wade attributes her rise through the ranks to the support of her family, particularly her mother.

Ms. Wade, who holds a certificate as a senior professional in human resources, earned an associate degree in office technology from Eastern Kentucky University in 1975. She has served as executive treasurer of the Lexington Arts League and is an advisory board member of ITT Technical Institute. Honors of which she is a recipient include a President's Club Award in 1998, a Retail Banking Center Manager of the Year award in 1995, an appointment as sales team captain, and a first place team finish in bank simulation at the Mid South School of Banking (now the Paul W. Barret School of Banking). As she moves forward in her career, Ms. Wade aspires to attain a position in an operations/retail environment.
