SAN DIEGO, CA, December 14, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lia DiBello, President and Chief Executive Officer of WTRI, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in product development.

For more than two decades, Dr. DiBello has been active in research on the cognitive science of decision-making in business. A former research associate at IBM cognitive science labs, and a former senior research associate at the Laboratory for Cognitive Studies of Work, she specializes in cognitive science research on business decision making and high performance in business. As president and CEO of WTRI, she conducts research, and oversees product and business development, strategic planning, finances, and marketing. Dr. DiBello's company also has a competitive internship program for young college graduates looking to gain knowledge and experience in research and development in the areas of cognitive science and economics.

Attributing her success to the inspiration she received from her grandmother, Dr. DiBello became involved in research on workplaces and businesses because she felt it would offer an effective way to verify her theories of accelerated learning. A chairwoman of the Task Force on Professional Capability Building, she is a member of the American Public Transportation Association's Committee on Research and Technology, the TCRP Project Panel, and the National Research Council's Transportation Research Board. She graduated from The Graduate Center, CUNY with a Ph.D. in Cognitive Science in 1994. She was recognized with numerous research awards from the National Academy of Sciences, the National Science Foundation and NASA. In 2009, she was a recipient of the Women Who Mean Business Award. Looking forward, Dr. DiBello would like to sell the company and start something new.
