As a finance professional with more than two decades of experience, Ms. Casey specializes in the areas of accounting, reporting and business strategies. She has also cultivated exceptional motivation and leadership skills throughout her career. Ms. Casey utilizes her expertise in her position with Playworks Education Energized, a nonprofit organization founded in 1996 to optimize the learning and social environment at elementary schools and improve the health and well-being of children. Playworks currently operates in 300 schools in 23 cities across the country and serves over 120,000 children daily. As the chief financial officer of the organization, Ms. Casey is responsible for overseeing its accounting and information technology departments.

Ms. Casey attributes her success to her education and persistence. In 1979, she earned a bachelor's degree in economics and French from the University of California, Berkeley. She decided to become a certified public accountant after taking economics courses in college. Ms. Casey looks forward to advancing Playworks' efforts nationwide in the years to come. When not working, she enjoys the outdoors, lectures, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
