H. Wayne Powell celebrates 40 years in the finance industry


KINGSTON, Jamaica, July 27, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- H. Wayne Powell, MBA, JP, Executive Vice President of Scotiabank, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in financial services.

Utilizing 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Powell specializes in finance management. He oversees the entire branch network across Jamaica including Small Business Banking, Retail Banking, Scotiabank Jamaica Building Society, Contact Centre and Non-Branch Sales and Service. He is a member of several Scotiabank subsidiaries and other corporate boards, and serves as a Justice of the Peace.

Mr. Powell is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, London and has an MBA from Barry University in Miami. He also holds Certificates in marketing management and Executive Management from the Ivy School of Business, University of Western Ontario. He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of New Kingston and attributes his success to hard work and passion for his profession.
